About NeedToKnow	English (USA)
Everyone is invited to join the NeedToKnow email list. Once you join you will be able to post. All posts will go to everyone on the list. The goal of this list it to provide a forum for everyone to keep up to date and stay informed by allowing anyone to post Green, 10 Key Values, and Green-Rainbow related information ranging from news articles to action alerts to get togethers to picket lines to signature gathering to... well anything that is Green related. It is hoped that posters will provide restraint on repeated postings about the same information and that in general if it has been posted already then no need to post again. And instead of posting lots of info from a web site, just post a link to the web site. The only rules are: - posts are to be civil - no attachments (to avoid viruses) - all content constrained to the guidelines above. If the rules are broken repeatedly, your posting privileges will be removed. They are simple rules so they should be simple to follow. The name of the list "NeedToKnow" was used to invoke a humorous spin on the secrecy aspect of the phrase "on a need to know basis" by turning it around to mean that everyone should know since it is important information. Also it is hoped that when one is posting the poster will ask themselves, "Do people really need to know this?" If the answer is yes, then post it. This list is unmoderated yet there is an admin in case you need help changing your email address, etc., and you can't get it to work from the URLs that appear at the top of each email from the list. An email list is only as good as the community that uses it. Have fun, be active, stay active, and get others active! Using NeedToKnow
To post a message to all the list members, send email to needtoknow@green-rainbow.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to NeedToKnow
Subscribe to NeedToKnow by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
