Two long-serving state reps, Democrat Frank Hynes and Republican Mary  
Rogeness, announced this week they would not run for re-election,  
joining a parade of state senators who said last week they would not  
retain their seats. Hynes, of Marshfield, has been in the House since  
1983, often a critic of leadership’s handling of legislation and one  
of a few reps who raises questions about procedure. Rogeness, in the  
House since 1991, is the assistant minority leader. Rep. Patricia  
Walrath, Democrat of Stow, has also announced she would retire.
