[candidate-development] Report of CDLC to State Committee

I have received no further report from Jamie concerning the ongoing
State committee meeting.

I am therefore delaying submitting the Report from the CDLC members
who have been meeting over and reviewing the selection of delegates
from those members of the GRP who have volunteered to directly to the
CDLC, until tomorrow morning. Meanwhile, the outreach to complete our
delegation is proceeding and should be of help in achieving our
diversity and gender parity goals.

It will become easier to know how successful we are in this respect,
once the McKinney campaign has submitted
its list of delegates and alternates to the Administrative Committee.
The lists of the other campaigns are complete and can be studied. The
absence of the Mckinney list, that should have been submitted to the
Administrative Committee by June 11th at the latest, remains
unavailable. This hampers the outreach for additional volunteers to
allow for selection, because it sets up a falsely competitive
situation between those committed to the completeness of the GRP
delegation, and those committed to securing the largest possible
number of delegates for the McKinney campaign in an effort to secure
a majority of the delegates before the convention opens. The
continuing attempts to nullify the results of our primary, on the part
of anyone, for whatever motives, is severely damaging to our standing
as an electoral party. Even more damaging is the attempt to run
parallel campaigns for delegates without regard to the election.
