I see nothing wrong with having an occasional bulletin that contains appeals
from candidates. The first item in such a bulletin should be a list of
websites or contacts for active candidates. Then we could insert any
particular appeals we have received, such as the McKinney appeal. I don't
think we should send out a stand-alone appeal with information about one
candidate only since that raises questions about equal treatment, i.e. were
all candidates told we are willing to help promote their campaigns, do we
send out equal numbers of appeals for all candidates, is there an
implication that we are recommending one candidate over another?
