  i agree with merelice's approach. i think a one-time notice sould be sent out to the effect that there are green candidates  running, and that " who ever is interested in working for/getting info about ------------- should contact the following persons ----------"
   
  as to nader. he IS running as an independent candidate, and as a matter of courtesy his information and state contact should be sent out ----------va-h-n-ce. :)

I would appreciate hearing CDLC's thoughts about this. For the moment,
my thoughts are as follows:

The Party could send out a members' announcement that candidates
seeking the Green Party nomination are wanting to build their field
organization and would like to hear from potential volunteers. (I
would consider including a one-time explanatory notice about Nader's
no longer seeking the Green Party nomination; I still am questioned by
members of the public who think Nader is our nominee.)

Until the Green Party has a nominee (i.e., after the convention), it
is not the role of the GRP to work on individual campaigns. But maybe
the Party could help each of them identify a campaign coordinator for
the state. And presumably those who have been statewide (or local)
candidates themselves could decide to support someone seeking the
nomination and make their field organizations available.
