I agree with Eli.  At every turn honest discussion is turned into an  
accusation of racism, sexism, classism or homophobia.  The joke is  
that some of the principal accusers come from the most privileged  
backgrounds - something I only learned while gathering signatures for  
the 2006 ballot when I ran into someone who had known one of the  
privileged at DOH.  This kind of discussion is perfectly fit for the  
Democrat Party which runs on Identity Politics but should have no  
place in the GRP.

I have left the GRP temporarily to become an elector for Nader (who I  
wish could have had a fair shot at the GPUS nomination but it was not  
to be).  But I must admit I am relieved that by and large I do not  
have to be part of the toxic kind of exchange to which Eli accurately  
refers.  The agents of such toxicity have no place in the leadership  
of the GRP nor among its candidates.

Sorry for getting into this.  I resolved that I would not but I got  
sucked in.
