That is not an accurate statement. The releasing comes AFTER the
allocation. Otherwise they don't belong to the candidate to be
released. Re-read Michelle's letter. She clearly states that the
delegates must be assigned even to those candidates who have since
withdrawn. THEN we can deal with having the candidates release them.
This can happen before the nominating convention, not before the
assigning. And that is what Eli is referring to as you mention below.
And, in fact, that is what I suggested to Jim Hammerman if he has
connections with the Nader campaign.

As long as incorrect statements are being made to StateCom, it's
important to clarify.

The situation is now in AdCom's hands, and according to our plan,
AdCom has until midnight Monday to approve the calculation or to state
concerns about the calculation. In the view of most CDLC members, the
calculation is a technical matter based on fulfilling the requirements
of state law and our plan as revised by the April 12 StateCom meeting.
