Dear comcom colleagues,
We have been asked to identify when an email uses a bullying tone. I
believe this is an example. Such phrases as the following do not
express respect, and they imply that someone else is not acting in the
best interests of the party and, therefore, their position needs to be
usurped:
"This has nothing to do with getting a press release written."
"Nor did I ask you to write it - although I believe you are supposed
to chair this committee."
"So what you are really saying is that no, we should not write a press
release. and apparently, you assume that if one gets written you
would write it. And that it is your priorities that determine this
committee's work?"
"I will write it; will you have time to review it?"
"Who out there has time/know how to send it out?"
"I still have not heard if some lawyer has been checked with."
Regarding the last item, Grace misinterpreted a reference to legal
requirements for presidential candidates; at no time did anyone say to
her that there was any issue with FEC rules or that a lawyer needed to
be consulted.

PS: If people are inclined to volunteer for anything, I would suggest
that they check my December 8 email with suggestions for preparing the
next newsletter. That is a genuinely urgent need.
