[ComCom] GRP Flyer for October 27th - draft for comments ASAP!!

Dear AdCom & ComCom,

I am presenting this one-page flyer for approval by AdCom.

I expect to re-work it until tomorrow afternoon -- to improve it
as well as to satisfy as many people as possible, after which point
it will need to be approved and printed.

Instead of a genuine collaborative process on ComCom we got 4 very
distinct attempts at writing something. Part of this is my fault, part of
this
is because we don't really have a process for this, and part of this
is because I think we are coming from so many different places and
don't particularly like each other's styles (?!)

This draft was not approved by ComCom, but instead is an attempt (by me)
to assemble a flyer based on the 4 distinct drafts and the discussions
generated by them.

I hope that continued feedback from ComCom, as well as feedback
from AdCom will result in a final draft for approval, by tomorrow. Please
comment ASAP.

I ask everyone to put the need to get something out above the need
to have it state perfectly what you want said.

Thank you all and sorry this is coming out Thursday morning before the
rally.

PS: I think the weakest sentence is the second one -- mostly because I am
tired
and can't do better than "From the control of the earth's resources to the
control
of the social agendas of sovereign nations, U.S. militarism has been a
bipartisan pursuit".

"social agendas of sovereign nations" is not really what I'm trying to say
there, so if you
can improve that phrase please help!
