Hi, folks proposed Press Release to go as a cover to the letter to Galvin's
office - to go as early Friday morning as possible - please review asap - Love,
Grace

"Today, the Green-Rainbow Party, the Massachusetts' affiliate of the National
Green Party, filed a complaint with the Secretary of the Commonwealth's
office regarding unequal treatment in publicity generated by Secretary Galvin for
the upcoming February 5th Presidential Primary.

“We had direct dealings with the Secretary's Office like the other Parties in
the state to put Presidential Candidates on our ballot and they have
accurately created those ballots, Secretary Galvin can hardly claim he did not know
about our Presidential Primary like thoseof the Democrats and Republicans,”
explained Merelice, female co-chair of the Green Rainbow Party.

The Green-Rainbow Party in their letter of Jan. 25th to the Secretary points
to a Public Service Announcement which features Secretary Galvin encouraging
eligible voters to participate in the Feb. 5th Presidential Primary and
reminding unenrolled voters that they can choose either a Republican or Democratic
ballot without changing their party status. The Green-Rainbow Party co-chairs
in their complaint allege that he neglects to mention that the Green
Presidential Primary ballot will also be available.

“We know that Secretary Galvin took an oath to dispense the duties of his
office impartially,” explains Nat Fortune, male co-chair of the Green-Rainbow
Party. “We cannot believe he intended to misuse the power of his office and so we
are asking for simple remedies that will correctly inform Massachusetts
voters of all of their choices. We are hopeful that the Secretary will agree and
implement those remedies promptly before it is too late.”

The complaint also points to media coverage that has referred to information
supplied by the Secretary of the Commonwealth's office but does not include
mention of the Green ballot. The Green-Rainbow Party in its complaint asks for
copies of any media and outreach notices sent out by the Secretary's office
and that they send out an additional clarification to those same lists which “
very visibly” includes the Green Party's ballot.

“We have exciting and capable Presidential Candidates the voters of
Massachusetts have an equal right to know about and vote for. We expect a prompt
response from Secretary Galvin's office; we all know the time is short,” closed
Merelice.
