thanks for taking a look. Will save me a trip there.

To all Convention folks
I think this should be the choice for our 2005 Convention. I will e-mail Steve LaFontaine as to what dates are open at this time. I opt for the first weekend in june if open as the weather will be warmer then.

At the AdCom meeting on Dec 13th, Jim Bosman aided me in supporting Camp Middlesex explaining to AdCom that low low costs for a State Convention is not realistic. the fee is just over $600 for two days (if folks want to sleep overnight its an additional $10)in comparing to 4-H Club in Westford. Right now I rule out Westford because of the late date in June, the Abolish Poverty March to end on July4th, and the concern for closed bldgs for workshops and if folks wanted stay overnight there are no quarters for sleeping. You would neet to camp out, campers, RV's, under the stars, etc or rent a hotel.

I really want to wrap this task up. The longer we postpone making a decision the more we run the risk of losing a decent place.

As Dan noted, this site was used for the Sept 2001 State Convention and I had heard from Gil that the place was great.

Any concerns let me know today as I will be attempting to contact Steve before the holidays, actually in the next couple of days.
Anne

Hi Anne,

Went to http://www.campmiddlesex.com/ and yes indeed this is the place
we had the first statecom meeting in Sept 2001. It was a fine place.
Off the beaten track so getting everyone who wants to come there
transportation is the only thing. Will have to car pool it.

Peace,
Dan

PS: A quick look up on the net shows a 30x30 foot tent with sides cost
$625 at one place.
