[Convention] Re: State Convention Meeting Dates Recommendation

The 2003 state convention was on May 1. I think most convention
attendees who filled out the survey responded that the convention was
at just the right time of the year - not too early, not too late in
the year. Therefore someone at the last convention planning
committee meeting suggested that the beginning of May is the optimal
time to have the state convention every year and moved that we make a
decision to suggest that the convention always be the first weekend
of May. No one presented a blocking concern so this suggestion was
put forward to the party. At least this is my recollection of this
decision at the meeting.
