[Convention] Convention Elections - When to Hand out Ballots

I don't know if we can really fiddle with this
anymore, especially if it is to go in the packet. The
agenda as published is what both Anne and I had in our
notes from the adcom meeting. I know this is what we
decided on because I had a concern about the actual
tallying of the ballots during Plenary IV on Sunday (2
- 4 pm) and whether there would be enough time and
that it would pull people out of that Plenary and
nobody shared my concern so I basically dropped it.

A couple of concerns about handing out the ballots on
Saturday:

1. Nominations end with Plenary II at 4:30 PM. We need
a little time to actually create the ballot and make
copies of it before it can be handed out. With
workshops going on from 5 pm to 6:30 pm, that would
mean handing out the ballots at dinner time, and
whoever is making the ballots would need to do that
during workshop time. Not a big deal, but we would
need to make sure this is doable.

2. At the adcom meeting when we were discussing all
this, Grace had pointed out that voters should have
ample time to discuss the ballot and their choices.
What time Saturday would we collect the ballots to
give enough time to provide that window of time? Or
would we collect just the ballots from people who are
not staying until Sunday? Would we collect all ballots
some time on Saturday evening?
