 Hi, David -

Alisa Klein is an Israeli citizen who formerly had been in Israeli Defense
Forces. Now living in Northampton, Alisa has become an anti-Zionist activist
who previously did express to me her solid agreement with the GRP resolution
and efforts to divest from Israel. She very often speaks on this issue.

She's now the lead organizer for the Western Mass. Palestinian Film
Festival, recently was in Palestine to teach Israelis non-violent resistance
to their own regime, and for two years served as editor for the on-line
journal, The Other Front.

I first began correspondence with Ms. Klein after posting news of this

When Gary Hicks saw the Needtoknow post, he had asked if Ms. Klein might be
available to speak or lead a workshop.

Ms. Klein, signatory to the Umass/ Amherst divestment petition, sent me the

Other ideas for speakers:

Hannah Mermelstein - she is a Jewish American who does
a lot of important work in the Occupied Palestinian
Territories. She is a member of the International
Women's Peace Service on the West Bank and co-founded
Birthright Unplugged, a project to educate primarily
American Jews about what Israel is doing in the
Occupied Territories. Her email address is:

Another person is Mazin Qumsiyeh - he is a tireless
activist for Palestinian peace and justice and human
rights. He is a Palestinian Christian currently based
in New Haven, CT. Until recently was a professor at
Yale University; recently began work in an independent
