before there can be no concerns, there first has to be a proposal. Consider my information concerning community church a PROPOSAL.

NOW: yes there is a room for childcare. and yes, there is an elevator, relatively new, that makes the place wheelcare accessible.

Just a few questions before I say I have no concerns and ask others for
concerns:

Is there a space available for childcare- ie a separate room
Is is w/c accessible
Can we bring in our own food-- is there a kitchen

Whoo hoo! Looks like we're getting it done!!!! :)

all:

Re my having found "someone who can do a show for $200.00" a bit of
clarification.

David Rovics, a very prominent folk singer in the topical songs
tradition, is willing to sing at a FUNDRAISER ON BEHALF OF OUR PARTY. The
deal is this: we get to keep all proceeds after $200.00 to David and other
expenses.

So if we're doing this in Western MA, we need a place where we can do a
concert on August 26 [ the only date when he'll be available] that will draw
in a lot of people to make this worth it.

THIS JUST IN: I had a phone conversation with Jason Lydon, Director of
Community Church of Boston. He's willing to rent the Lothrop Room [ a big
space that holds at least 100 people] to us for $400.00, from 8:30 AM until
10:30 PM. We can do both the convention and concert there. So: Dave Rovics,
$200.00 + Space Rental, $400.00 = $600.00 BASIC COST. Plus cost for
childcare. The address is 565 Boylston Street, Boston.

It's Copley Square parking. If folks get there early enough on a Sunday
morning, there should be space nearby.

IT'S PENCILLED IN THE CHURCH CALENDAR BOOK so we should probably make a
decision SOON.

What: The Annual Green-Rainbow Party Conference- “Take Back the State,
Take
Back America!”

Why: Annual Meeting and Workshops

Who: all green-rainbow and green party members in mA, NONMEMBERS ARE WELCOME
ALSO

Where: Western mass- a nice place to get out of the city/suburban areas!
Camping? Place where people can sleep inside if they want to also.
I KNOW ADCOM WAS DISCUSSING EASTERN MASS SO IT COULD COINCIDE WITH
FUNDRAISING EVENT, BUT LLOYD NEEDED HELP WITH FINDING A LOCATION

When: July 4th weekend (either the weekend of June30-July1 or July 7 and 8)
This will demonstrate how “American” the grp is!!

DATE HAS CHANGED TO AUGUST 25-26 IF IT'S A 2 DAY. 26TH IF JUST ONE DAY. WHO
CAN WE RECRUIT TO FIND A LOCATION?

Logistics:
Alternative locations:-- *Treasure Valley in central ma: is it handicap
accessible? Is their any transportastion nearby?;
-- ** college campuses in the Amhearst Area; **Bed and Breakfasts (Martina
knows of one that has food and camping!!) in the Amhearst area.

If we need any food, we should support local agriculture!
WE WILL PROBABLY NEED TO BRING OWN FOOD. WHO CAN BRING FOOD?

Possible workshops:
--SHARC again **
--People’s Music Network speaker **
--Disability Rights (Sexuality) **
--How does legislative Process work?
--How to be environmentally conscious and still have a life *
--Peak Oil * (try Ted)
--local farmers speaking about local agriculture*

WHO HAS BEEN CONTACTED SO FAR WITH THE WORKSHOPS?

Possible entertainment:
--People’s Music Network **
--People from GRP
GARY HAS SOMEONE WHO HAS AGREED TO DO A SHOW FOR ~$200

Publicity:
--we need to suggest- Valley Free Radio, Public Radio throughout Ma
--postcards to send to all GRP and Green members (in late may); follow-up
phone calls (in June)
THE NEWSLETTER IS BEING SENT OUT, THIS IS A REQUIREMENT FOR STATE CONVENTION
(NOTIFICATION)

Childcare
DAN M USUALLY HANDLES THIS

Gas Reimbursement
WILL BE MENTIONED IN THE NEWSLETTER

Planning transportation (martina knows a lot out that way!)
IF IT'S CLOSE TO BOSTON PUB TRANS WILL BE EASIER...

Questions: should this be a one day or two day event?
I WOULD SAY IT DEPENDS ON PRICE AND AGENDA

Would anyone want to perform from the statecom ?

Is the timing of postcards and calls too early or too late?

Can we get a statewide list of registered greens , GRPs?

*Call Dan M-is there a budget for the annual conference? * (also ask if my
dues are paid!!)
--does he reimburse for gas? THE PARTY DOES
*Look at previous conference agendas- are we missing anything? *

Key:* Maureen will research
** Martina will research
