WHERE: 689 Main St., Agawam

Why not help me remind the people of Agawam in the Third Hampden District
that other options exist?

If we have the numbers, we march from  Benjamin Phelps School, 689 Main St.,
to Agawam Middle School, 68 Main St.

Make signs, bring signs!

Places nearby where lots available for parking are likely to be found
without entirely too much trouble are listed below. Some may fill up fast,
since the Six Flags amusement park and Eastern States Exposition are both
generating traffic.

1) The lip of Monroe St., just off Main St., has a handful of parking spots
across the shopping center that hosts Giovanni's and Utopia.

2) Spots may be found in the Congregational Church parking lot between
Monroe St. and Elbert Rd. off Main St. in Agawam.

3) There may be parking in lots in front of, directly behind, and abutting
that shopping center that hosts Giovanni's and Utopia.

4) There will be parking available for some very few cars in my very own
driveway, 96 Elbert Rd., walking distance from Phelps.

5) Additional parking may be found behind, and directly next to, the Agawam
Middle School further down Main St. in Agawam.

Main St. is Route 159 in Agawam, and off Route 57. For Phelps, take the Six
Flags exit. For the Middle School, take the first signed exit.

Main St. begins in Agawam where Route 147 turns into Route 159, intersecting
Route 75, near yet another shopping center.
