  such a proposal was brought before our Statecom and I think it either passed (for the whole statecom to do it on one of three nights) or it is up for an electronic vote....

In our efforts to raise funds this year we have talked about phone banking 
in our fundraising meetings. Phone banking simply requires a few people to 
get together and call members of our donor list who have not contributed in 
the past year or more. There are many people that we can call and update on 
the GRP, the candidates and ask to contribute money or time.

It would be nice to have a professional call center or office to use but we 
can get together anytime at someone's house and use cell phones to phone 
bank, especially on a weekend when cell phones are free. Calling with a 
group of people is motivational as well as getting tips and techniques for 
calling.

I'm hoping to get a show of hands and see who is interested in calling. If 
you feel confident enough it could also be arranged for people to get a list 
of people to call on their own.
