[fundraising] renewal mailing; silent auction

Hi,
I just picked up the email with the minutes of the last AdCom meeting.
The minutes included a mention of sending out a renewal mailing to
members (something that hasn't happened since around June of last
year) and that it would be done by Dan and Gary. This is a reminder
that Eva has repeatedly said she is willing to do these mailings (and,
in fact, was helping with them when Brian was getting the materials to
her). She happens to be away now through August 14, but I'm quite
confident she would pitch in after her return if the mailing hasn't
been completed by then.

I hope the next mailings will be thank-you's to our few remaining
monthly sustainers (again, a reminder that Eva has said she would like
to become a sustainer) and thank-you's to those who have renewed
without having received a renewal notice. The latter thank-you's
generally include the little flyer about becoming a sustainer.

Regarding the silent auction at the convention, I'm sorry that I am
not in a position to organize this.
