[GNC] Not suspending GNC list - I resign as list administrator

Hi everyone,

If there is a movement to keep this list active indefinitely (as appears to be the case), please be aware that I will be removing myself from this list and removing myself as the list administrator tomorrow. I cannot continue to administer the daily requests that come in to this list. **To everyone on the Technology Committee, please cancel my request to have the list ended on Sat., Aug. 7 at 12 PM.** Steve Milder is still an administrator of this list.

The policy that I have been following about approving/rejecting messages sent to gnc at green-rainbow.org has been to approve the message if it came from any of the GR delegates and alternates (but a different email address than the one subscribed). If the message came from a GRP member who was not a delegate or alternate, I read the message and approved it if the topic/message was relevant to an ongoing list discussion or the purposes of the list, N.B. none of the emails from GRP members that I have read were not relevant. If the message came from a non GRP member (including Greens from other states), I rejected the message and asked the sender to get the message sponsored by a GRP delegate or alternate if she/he felt it was important enough to get to the group.

I took a look at the list of members for this group and it appears that all but one delegate has remained on the list. The only non delegates and alternates on this list are myself and Ron. At any time, someone can unsubscribe from this list, but it is my guess that everyone has chosen to remain because they are still interested in the issues being discussed on this list.

To everyone on this list who is also a member of the Administrative Committee, please take note of everyone who has stepped forward to write an article for the Newsletter:
Elie Yarden, Mike Heichman, Samantha Zitola, Gil Obler (in the form that he has authorized the authors to use words from his previous emails and report to statecom). This information (and any last names that are reported by Aug. 7) should be brought forward at the Administrative Committee meeting on Monday, Aug. 9

It has been fun helping make Green-Rainbow voices be heard at the Green National Convention, and also very enlightening to help keep the 454 emails to this list since May flowing smoothly. Good luck with the newsletter article and whatever direction this list heads.

outgoing GRP Candidate Development and Legal Committee Co-Chair

As long as there seems to be a valid reason to keep this list, I see little reason to dump it. In particular, material for the newsletter will remain a need for a while. And until there is a presidential campaign task force formed, this is a useful list.
