[GNC] Answers to concerns about writing the convention article

I'll answer these as best as I can.
NOTE- there is space RESERVED for ONE article, the title of the email was misleading.
1) The format, template, or other criteria for an article have not been finalized. There was discussion on this topic at the last adcom meeting, where ideas such as using a stylesheet which would be downloaded by the GRP website and used to write the article (that is the template that I was referring to). I'm hoping that something would be ready, even a brief description stating that articles should be kept to 1000 words, or something in the very near future.
As far as I know at the moment, since there is no GRP Communication Director, other members of adcom must take on these additional duties as well. In addition, one or more people need to step up as newsletter editors. I CANNOT get myself involved in this process and I very much recommend that everyone who wants to get involved in the newsletter contact Adcom directly, see http://www.green-rainbow.org/AdCom
2) Owen and Gil have agreed to let the author(s) of the article pull information from any of their writings to this list and Gil's convention report to the state committee. Elie has sent a recent email that he'd like to include in the report (and has been sent additional information from me that he had earlier requested to then use in the article).
Also note that ANYONE can visit http://www.green-rainbow.org/mailman/listinfo/gnc and peruse the email archives. Unless the message was sent to the list via moderator approval, the name and email of the writer of the email is shown. So if the coordinator likes something she/he sees, simply contact the owner of the email for permission to use it.
3) Okay, so if you are not coordinating this effort, that leaves Elie and Samantha to do so. This is ultimately what it comes down to. Adcom contacts the primary author (coordinator) of the delegate article and asks for the final product. When Adcom meets on Monday, Aug. 9, they need to know who to contact, and the last day that they will check this list is Aug. 7.
Feel free to move forward with this process, it is already in place and in motion.

Hi Everyone:
I have some concerns about the article(s) from us about the convention which
will appear in the next GRP newsletter.
1. Scott had mentioned some kind of "format/template/etc" for writing the
article(s). Much earlier I had requested that I (and we) get a copy of this
template, and it hasn't happened.
For me it would be personally helpful for the following reasons--after next
week my time commitments become much more challenging. From time to time I
will be on vacation; I need to spend more time in my career search; and if I
get "lucky" and get a job soon, I may have to start working immediately. For
the rest of us, who are interested in writing or contributing to the
article, I think that it would be helpful to understand the format.
2. My hope is that as many of us as possible will contribute our thoughts
and reflections on the convention. I plan on writing an article; however, I
would feel happiest if a piece of mine is taken out and made into a much
larger article from a large number of us. If a whole bunch of us would
submit anything from a couple of paragraphs to a couple of pages, the
resulting article(s) would make for the best product.
3. I think that this "project" needs somebody to coordinate it. (NOTE: I AM
NOT VOLUNTEERING BECAUSE OF THE REASONS STATED ABOVE.) My concern is that if
somebody does not take up this task that this might end up as a mess
(people's viewpoints left out, being behind schedule, etc.)
This is how I see it. Any reactions? Any one with a better, simpler or
more optimistic idea(s) on how we can move forward?
