[GNC] A note to GRP reps to the international committee

Hi folks,

I just wanted to bring to your attention my real concern with our selection of
speakers from international green parties who will be at the national convention
this week, specifically the founder of the Green Party of Mexico.

The party itself is the laughing stock of the Mexican left. It is considered a
family-run business, making a few people very rich off of "public financing" of
elections.

They formed an alliance with the right-wing National Action Party to elect the
current president. And the current president of the party (and the founder's
son) was recently caught on video taking a bribe in exchange for facilitating
hotel development in an ecological reserve area!

See for example:

This was printed in an English-language paper in Costa Rica, but it comes from
the progressive IPS news service.

Even the NYT correspondent (no friend of average Mexicans) finds their
corruption too much:

I can send you 20 links in Spanish that expose these crooks for who they are.

And we have them as special guests at our convention!!!!!

Can you please bring this to the attention of the international committee.

Thanks,
-Aram
