Hello, all,
In response to Mike H's email re getting to know one another better,
getting better acquainted with delegate duties, and standing together for a
fair & democratic convention in Milwaukee - oh, as well as naming a
get-together something else - I'm in complete agreement. Also,I, too, am
cash-strapped and will have to borrow to go to the nat'l convention.
In any case, the tape viewing could be kept to 25 minutes (at least the 3
candidates all make strong statements during the first 25 minutes and we'd
get exposure to all of them).
We still need input. Is a pre-convention educational & getting acquainted
get-together a good idea? What would date & location preferences be (see my
previous email for my ideas)? Agenda items (echoing Mike H again)? Please
contribute suggestions as it enables teamwork and better planning if we do
want to get together.
If we have such a session, inviting someone who has gone to the national
convention before, especially someone who went to the 2000 convention might
be a good idea. I understand at least one such person has moved, out of
state, I believe.
And Mike, congratulations on your many years of contributing positively to
young minds in Chelsea! Best of luck when you do get around to the job
search - not an easy undertaking these days.
Peace,
Wanda Boeke
