I went to the convention travel website to check on airfares, and clicked
through to the Midwest Airlines convention website. When I input a roundtrip
to Milwaukee, it gave me a price of $317.35, which purported to reflect "a
10% Sponsored Convention discount". Midwest flies nonstop from Boston to
Milwaukee.

Then, by double-checking through Orbitz, and not through the GPUS website,
the same flights on Midwest cost $227.70, which is only about $10 more than
the least expensive one-stop fare. Assuming that the same 10% discount would
apply to this fare, the round trip cost on Midwest would be $205. This is
MUCH less expensive than the fares I have seen over the past month. So, if
you are inclined to fly out to Milwaukee, you may want to call Midwest with
the Convention Meeting Number (CMZ1399) in hand to see if you can get the
low fare plus the discount.
