Hi Melanie,

Sorry it came across that way.  It was actually started by someone in
the wisconsin party, not David.  My impression is that its intent
was to allow those delegates who do support David to make the point
that they support a strong, energetic campaign to promote and build
the Green Party in every state that it will be most effective.  No one
is telling anyone to sign it... it's only an opportunity for you to
express support for an aggressive campaign with that in mind.  I'm
glad that it may have inspired Owen to write his well-worded statement
in support of Lorna, and I'm happy to see a healthy debate around this.
I would imagine you'll see lots of petitions circulating among the
delegations, and I hope you don't feel compelled to sign them unless
they truly reflect your opinions.
