[GNC] Blasting off to Chicago!?

Hi everyone,

This listserv is now a hodge-podge of delegates and alternates
to the 2004 national convention as well as the 2008 national convention.

I hope it will be useful in self-organizing as a delegation, including
logistical information as well as other pertinent discussions, etc.

As I noted earlier, a number of discounted registrations are still available
for low-income and student participants.

Communication to this list about your plans, needs, desires, etc. would be
helpful in terms of coordinating for Chicago and for voting in the
nominating convention.

If you plan to go to Chicago, please say so.
If you know you cannot go, please say so.
If you are an alternate but are planning on going to Chicago, perhaps a full
delegate would allow you to take their place.
If you are a full delegate, but a potential delegate might improve the
diversity of the delegation, please consider becoming an alternate instead.

Proxy voting will be allowed -- where each delegate in Chicago will be able
to vote for one delegate not present.
In other words, only 16 people are needed in Chicago for there to be 32
valid votes.

If you would like to be a proxy, or would like to find a proxy, this list
might be helpful.

If anyone has plans or knowledge of logistics regarding Chicago, please
share them.
