Wanda
The registration would have been all I needed had I have gotten this
confirmation on monday or early tuesday morning - at the very latest. In
that time I would've have tried to make it by hitting the truck stops. I
filled out that fee-waiver application in early June I emailed a copy to
Grace so she would know that I sent it out. The app said that they would let
us know by June 24th at the latest. Had my registration fee-waiver been
confimed by June 24th as promised by that committee, I would have come
willy-nilly and not have worried about a stay place. I would've crashed at
the local shelter stayed in a jail cell, slept under a bridge just to attend
the convention. A week and half ago I received messages from Grace that the
Caucus voted not send delegates. At this point, for a week I did not know if
I was coming or going I was thoroughly confused. At this late hour the only
way possible for me to arrive in a timely manner where I could be the most
effective would be a plane ticket donation. Even a bus ticket donation would
not get me there until sometime friday. It takes two days and 13 hours. I
have known many such miracles in my peace sojourns to find me in the
strangest of places, so I know that all things are possible in a heavenly
way. But I really cannot see any earthly way that providence can fetch me
from here and place me there unless some rich person does not mind buying a
very expensive one day notice ticket; or a cancellation seat; or someone
from knows a pilot leaving from the West Coast; but at this point it is all
about a plane.
I am terribly disappointed in the Massachusetts GRP. I know the GP as a
whole is a fledgling organization with much growing pains to go. But GRP
Party moves like it is on therosine; the communication is is down to a
drooling drawl: That it takes weeks to get a response to one email. It
almost feels as if the right wing is running this party and keeping us
sedated like a thoroughbred race horse. I am resolve that I will miss this
convention, but only due to internal blunder and my underestimation of how
inept this movement can be. I am thankful to you Wanda and Grace for what
little communication I have received from you; and I am grateful to Eli for
his thoughtful and encouraging email with a offering of donation of $15.00
for my travel expenses; but I still have to say the Massachusetts GRP
communication, for me, suck! If we are truly trying to be a force to be
reckoned with in this country and get our nation to adapt the 10 key values
then we have got to do better than this. Should a miracle be in the stars
for me to make to Chicago I can be reached at 617 614-7231 or hit me up on
my cell 912 604-3229. If not, the next thing is I hope you can find me a
proxy and send me a proxy letter. So that we can get my vote in on Saturday
Thanks.
