Actually, upon further reflection I take back part of my previous email.

Am I correct that your 8.7 takes our 8.5.3 verbatim?

If so, then there is no reason to deal with your proposal and our's
seperately. We will simply discuss our section 8 and your's at the same
time and vote for one or the other or neither.

Since the Green-Rainbow seperated our proposals by bylaws section, we
can just take up the question of "how should we do the state committee?"
as one question.

However, I would like to suggest that we seperate the question of
"do we do diversity seats (and how)?" from the question of "how do we
do the other seats?".

Can we agree to first discuss and decide on "our 8.5.3 equals your
8.7 vs. not doing diversity seats at all or doing them differently",
and then discuss and decide on "how do we do the other seats?", i.e.
the rest of your section 8 vs. the rest of our section 8 vs. something
else (whatever that is). Actually I do not care about the order so
long as we ask these questions seperately.

My other question is: Since Jeff dropped the petition idea, does that
mean that my identity caucus idea is also off-the-table, or does anyone
want to discuss that idea?
