FYI, in the latest version (on the statecom website) it is back to
9.17 (we put back the regional defininitions into 9.16) but still
expand the meaning of the seats in 9.17.

One suggestion is to have both regional and diversity seats. However,
several people have objected to increasing the overall size of the
AdCom. I still believe that by making the rules flexible, we could
add more Western Mass and Cape seats using the Green-Rainbow plan
than with the current rules. However, it is clear to me that we will
need to hash this out at the statecom meeting, and just be open to
friendly amendments, listening to each other, and consensus-seeking.

FYI, it seems to me that the controversial pieces of our plan are
(in descending order):

9.17
8.5.2
8.5.1

There are also some minor issues about 8.5.3 but I think that these
can be resolved at tomorrow's meeting. There are also some objections
to the addendums, but I believe that this is just a misunderstanding.
The reason we made them addendums was to not put them directly into
the bylaws. We figured that they could be placed on the website as
seperate documents and then referred to in the bylaws. The objectors
seem to think that these will be part of the bylaws, which we were
also trying to avoid.

This too is a very thoughtful response - I too think we should preserve
geographical boundaries - Almost every Boston organization I've been
involved with has lost the Western part of the State for reasons similar
