Homeowners Rehab, a non-profit located on Franklin Street in Cambridge, has begun to offer foreclosure counseling to residents of Somerville, Arlington, Watertown and Belmont. Check out their website at www.homeownersrehab.org. They are triaging cases as they come in, referring some cases to the Attorney General and the Division of Banks where there is evidence of fraudulent or predatory lending. They are also referring suitable clients to Mass Housing-approved lenders for refinancing at affordable interest rates. They work with trusted realtors in those cases where a short sale is the only viable option to foreclosure. Please call Jennifer Jonnassaint at Homeowners Rehab, (617) 868-4858 x215, for assistance.
