i have always been thrilled by the US space program and in many ways
i still am. http://www.nasa.gov/columbia/STS-107_PK.pdf
One minute you lose contact and the next minute you are strewn
across a billowing toxic debris field.
I honor the brave scientists who carry on this work.
The desire to move beyond barriers, including gravity and
atmosphere, is a natural outgrowth of human evolution as part of
DNAs imperative to replicate.
On the other hand, military use of space is an inevitable follow on
the culture of military industry in which we live and work... each
launch also puts a tremendous amouunt of toxic and radioactive stuff
in to the atmosphere and beyond.

having mucked the plucking duck out of this planetsphere, corporate
america is clear to move onto additional mining opportunities,,,
How do we, as Greens and here in the privilege of the Pioneer
Valley, feel about the US space program, the international space
station, and exploration of space?
