Hi Northampton Greens! Here is an example of what another local in our area is up to, and how they are getting visible. Check out their website.

Peace,

Jim

The Hadley Greens organized a highly visible F15 event on the Hadley Common that drew over a hundred people from around New England and got plenty of press that mentioned our local or Greens as organizers. It was intended to be an event for Hadleyans, but as there weren't many local actions organized in New England - just buses to NYC - people came from all over.

You can access links to media coverage in the Hampshire Gazette and the Springfield Sunday Republican from our website http://hadley.massgreens.org/Feb15/. WLLP Channel 22 Springfield also ran a story on the vigil near the top of the hour at 6 PM and 11 PM on 2/15.

Our Party is, in fact, making news as being at the forefront of the anti-war movement. Our event was such a thrill for our little local, and we learned a great organizing lesson: Don't hesitate to do small actions in your small towns: You never know who might turn up. One reporter told me, "If this was in Amherst or Northampton, no one would have noticed. But, in Hadley -- that's news."
