Minutes of 1/5/04 Meeting
Salvo House, 81 Conz Street
7 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Attendees: Susan Lantz, Lisa Richards, Amy Watts, Tom
Montilli, Jon Levi, Jim Bosman, Jackie Jaffee

Abolish Poverty March – presentation by Lisa Richards
and group discussion

Rough timeline: 
Kickoff meeting by 1/20/04
Second meeting by 2/6/04
2/20/04 – have speakers, issues, and sites identified
3/6/04 – have all of the above decided

AP March is coming to town Saturday, March 27th.
A Friday night bash is suggested to kick off the
weekend’s events, possibly something at the
Northampton Center for the Arts (Jackie). 

Lisa explains that fundraising will be 50/50 between
defraying the expenses of the March and helping a
local group.

Group brainstorms a list of possible coalition members
for the March. Responsibility for contacting various
groups will be doled out over email (Susan).

Meetings dates are suggested for the first coalition
meeting (1/20, 1/21, or 1/22)

Susan reminds all that Feb. 11th is the last day to
register to vote in the primary.

Tom joins Jackie and Jon on the facilitation team.
