Hi, all - yes, the Amherst town committee is coordinating the GRP tabling
presence at this this year's NOFA
conference: http://www.nofa.org/conference/2004/index.php
As you know, this is one of the highlights of the year for the organic
farming community (our constituents!) and this year should be one of the
biggest ever because Ralph Nader and Vandana Shiva are making
appearances. We are also hoping that Pat LaMarche, the Green Party VP
candidate, will be able to come, but this is not yet confirmed.
The conference is scheduled for Thursday through Sunday, August 12-15 (two
weeks from now). As in the past, we will try to staff our table on Friday
10am-6pm, Saturday 8am-6pm, and Sunday 8am-3pm.
With a large pool of helpers to draw from, hopefully we can manage to
divide this up into 10-15 shifts of three or four hours each (with at least
two people at the table most of the time). I will be able to help out
Friday afternoon from about 3:30 on, and Saturday morning until noon at
least (Sunday will be difficult for me because there is a Statecom
meeting). I hope that all of those who are receiving this message will be
able to commit to some time. Please let me know as soon as possible so
that I can start penciling you in.
Thanks!
Rob
