[Northampton-GP] MOnday's meeting

Tue Mar 2 21:32:50 EST 2004

I, Jon Levy, was the only one who showed up last night and after waiting
15 minutes went home. A Green-Rainbow party candidate for governors
council in this district has asked us to help him get signatures which
was one of the topics I hoped to discuss last night with you all. I'm
fairly certain Susan Lantz must've been busy with the Kucinich stuff, he
got my vote. But the election season is upon us and we as the
Northampton Green local are going to be asked to help the party and we
should not let our group die off now, now is the time we can make a
difference, I hope we can make a real effort to show up in April, there
should be alot of important stuff to discuss. Our county convention is
this march 9th at Hitchcock center in amherst at 6:30. It will be a
potluck and we need to elect Hampshire county state committee
delegates. Please consider running and at least show up to help the
event be successful and vote. I am under the impression that there are
currently only 3 people definitely running for 8 seats, could this be
the end of the Massachusetts Green-Rainbow Party as we know it, tune in
next week for another exciting episode of "The Little Political Party
that Could, but Didn't".
