Hi Platform Committee members and friends. 
 
Am looking forward to our Platform Committee phone conference on these
(attached) policy proposals for the upcoming GRP state com meeting on
Saturday (11/17). Please let me know if 5 or 8 PM on Friday works better
for you. If you can't make the phone meeting, please weigh in by email
or call me so we can present the Platform Committee position on these
proposals on Sat. - and get the ball rolling within the GRP on these
critical, timely issues .

massgreens.org - which will hopefully be back up soon.
 
Sorry I couldn't follow up sooner to schedule this - just back from

Dear GRP Platform Committee Members,
 
Welcome to the revived platform committee!
 
With the prevailing paradigm collapsing faster than the eye can see, we
are moving to get our vision of a healthy, just, sustainable world out
there - asap. With the bursting of the Deval bubble and continued
Democratic Party collusion in war and global warming, an infusion of new
faces and energy are now coming the way of the GRP. So, we're preparing
to hit the ground running at the upcoming Nov. 17 GRP state com meeting.
Many of us see this as an opportunity to start bringing the party back
into relevance and effective activism on a number of the critical issues
hurting for a political vehicle - from the war to single payer, peak
oil/global warming, the mortgage scams and more. 
 
A revitalized Platform Committee will play an important role as the GRP
comes up to speed. As the platform committee, one of our duties is to
vet the policy proposals before they are voted on by the State
Committee. Our support or suggestions for changes on the proposals are
an important part of State Com deliberations. The four proposals for us
to weigh in on are in the attached file. They are:
 
Joining the Massachusetts anti-war coalitions
Addressing the Continuing Health Care Crisis
Addressing the Fossil Fuel Crisis
Continuing GRP actions against mortgage scams
 
It would be great if we could discuss them in a brief phone meeting.
Please rank the following possible dates/times for a phone conference,
with a 1 (most preferred), 2 (possible but not preferred), or 3 (can't
make it). 
 
My own hope is that we can pick a date this week since I will be in
Texas at a toxics conference from Sat. 11/10 till 11/15, and may not be
able to participate in a phone meeting during that time. We'll pick the
date after we hear back from folks. Please rank the following possible
dates/times for a phone conference, with a 1 (most preferred), 2
(possible but not preferred), or 3 (can't make it).
