meeting, so I have done so myself.

Dear Members of the Platform Committee:

A couple of months ago I joined the Platform Committee and have been
working on the ABWG Project. Every so
often, I have called on the “leaders” of the Platform Comm. to call a
general meeting.  It is my understanding that
the Platform Comm. does not have any elected leadership and no one has
responded to my request. In the
meantime, the work of the committee moves on and/or does not move on  
often
without adequate reports to the
Platform Comm. and meetings to give feedback and support to ongoing
projects as well as considering proposals to
do other work. On June 5, Merelice, the co-chair of our party, sent a
request to the Platform Comm. to review some
of our “older” statements, and there has not been a response to her
request. Every so often Merelice sends us a
request for some feedback and recommendation about supporting/ 
endorsing an
issue.

I have decided that it would be foolish for me to continue to send out
request to the “leaders” of the Platform
Comm. since my requests have been ignored and/or the committee is  
without
“leaders”. I am therefore deciding to
call a meeting (teleconference) of the Platform Comm. for next week  
from.
The meeting will start at 8:30 PM and
end no later than 10 PM.

Please respond and let me know which days you would make a meeting:

	Monday, June 16
	Tuesday, June 17
	Thursday, June 19

Below are my agenda ideas. Please comment and submit your ideas what you
think the committee should focus its
energies.

A.	Join the “Campaign for Our Communities, the statewide coalition  
that is
leading the organizing against the
mandatory ballot question that would repeal the state income tax.
B.	Come up with a process to respond to requests for issue support (from
Adcom, endorsed GRP candidates, ballot
questions, etc.)
C.	Other Proposals?

III.	State Committee Business

A.	Vetting any proposals for the June 29th State Comm. Meeting
B.	Adcom’s request to play our role in the “sunset review  
process” (See the
letter below.)

IV.	Other Business
V.	Election of Officers
