Fighting the proposed MBTA fare increases: Join T-Riders Union for a rally
and speak out from 12 noon - 3 pm at
Dudley Square in Roxbury ACE and the T Riders Union (TRU) have been working
over the years on transportation and
MBTA equity and access issues. The MBTA has recently proposed another
dramatic fare increase. This increase will
both decrease the number of people using public transportation and will
cause significant hardship for many low
and moderate income people throughout our region who depend on public
transportation. Meanwhile there are
other alternatives to raising MBTA fares once again, which the MBTA and the
state are not taking.
