[statecom-discuss] Working with other political parties - open thread

That is premature to say the least.
What we have to do is figure out how to win a race at least at the
level of the State House OR at the level of the Congress. (Olver and
Capuano are especially vulnerable, I believe.) And we have what we
need in all those races where there is no Republican challenger and
hence no spoiler argument.
AND we need to mobilize the 10,000 registered Libertarians in MA. And
raising only $10,000 for a gubernatorial campaign is a real blot on
the GRP. If the GRP is to do anything it must develop an
infrastructure.
What do we need to do first? Infrastructure, infrastructure,
infrastructure. I do not think there is much feeling for that - but
otherwise we are amateurs.
Infrastructure, infrastructure, infrastructure.
Infrastructure, infrastructure, infrastructure.

On your premature question
I would recommend not behaving as Bernie Sanders did who gave up on an
independent party in VT to "caucus" (although there is another word
for it but I do not want to invoke bodily functions here.) with the
Dems.
In fact I think that as a governor Sanders could have got single-payer
for VT which would have started the ball rolling across the country,
but then he could not have continued at the Congressional Cocktail
parties.
