[statecom-discuss] Re: [statecom] State Committee Minutes - 1/27/07

Dear Adam,

Decisions are made by those who show up. Had the level of political
diversity been represented that you claim exists at the StateCom
meeting, perhaps it wouldn't had made it into the "expedited round."
However, you are now speaking after the fact, which is not very
helpful at all.

The fact is that a concerned StateCom member presented a proposal to
the group, explained the proposal to the group, and less than 75% of
the group had concerns with the proposal, which sent it to the
expedited round. I am sorry you are appalled that your opinion may be
in the minority in that case at that specific State Committee
meeting, but that's the way it goes, and clearly this was not a few
persistent hypervocal activists, but a couple new State Committee
members who I believe have never submitted a proposal before (I could
be wrong), backed up by more than 75% of the present group.

Sincerely,
  Colby Peterson
