this is how the steering committee has proposed to make it through the 
winter given our budget restraints,

ON last Sunday's (2/4/07) conference call, the Steering Committee
approved temporary cuts in salaries and stipends for our staff and
contract workers.  This is done with regret, certainly, but given our
current financial situation, the SC felt this is a necessary course of
action.

Echo mentioned she has some ideas on raising funds to re-pay these
temporary cuts.  She and Jody will be discussing this, and Echo is
planing to post more on this to the NC, shortly.

Temporary pay cuts - $1900 Feb, $1600 March

$300 - Media Assistant (100% - position ends in January rather than March
$250 - Office Assistant (50%) - Richard Rhodes
$250 - Online Fundraising and Outreach Coordinator (50%) - Richard Scott
$250 - Webmaster ($38.5%) - Kevin Crisp
$250 - Media Coordinator (33.3%) - Scott McLarty
$150 - Accountant (16.7%) - Doug Malkan
$100 - Operations Director (5%) - Emily Citkowski
