I heartily agree, Mike. BUT....

I don't think we can ignore what other parties, their factions and leaders, are doing. Often it makes sense to criticize and expose particular leaders, since most people who pay any attention at all to political life do so in terms of events and crises rather than holistically.  Often too, it makes sense to work with folks who may belong to the duopoly parties, always in a principled way, insh'allah.

I find it's good to have some general guidelines—not rigid rules—to help us decide case-by-case. My favorite guidelines: (1) does this help the party? (2) does this help the people?
