Forgive me this. I've tried to clear backlogs, and didn't know what was up
to date and what was not. Needtoknow, Statecom-discuss, and Locals should
really have new list admins since I've been out of the loop. I'm only now
finally starting to make efforts towards poking my head back in. I should
hope by now, by the way, that my name has been removed from AdCom. Regarding
StateCom, I'm not entirely sure when I may be able to fit back in.

As many may have guessed, your old friend Owen has been in a bit of a mess.
I very much apologize for not returning phone calls and for letting e-mails
sit. We've staved off foreclosure pretty much on a wing and a prayer. One of
our cars is disabled, and utility shut off notices have been coming in. I'm
taking steps to file for bankruptcy, but need a small fortune in hand even
for that. I've seen a few disturbing things, by the way. Will have future
comment on that.
