Thank you, Betts. I shall forever treasure how you have been an especially
dear friend to me.

I have only just begun to get caught up (and have miles to go before getting
caught up yet) on how various e-mails I have seen have indeed seemed 'to be
full of insults and deception of late.' It pains me deeply to see such signs
of a state party warring with itself in so very many ways and on so very
many levels. I'm hurt by much of what I'm only now finally permitting myself
to see, having avoided much out of - I must admit - some sense of
helplessness and even shame regarding my very own personal situation. I wish
I could do more for this party.

Yet I can't, and shan't I fear for quite some time. I must first figure out
how to stop treading water, how to find shore. Yet I would be greatly
relieved upon my final and eventual return to learn that our party has also
finally stopped treading water, that - in terms of treating one another like
human beings - we have also found shore. We're brothers and sisters in
struggle, and we really, truly, need to relate to one another precisely just
as such. I don't want to see tears leaking from these eyes with each party
related e-mail I see. The day we find ourselves so quite unable to be the
support structure for one another that we need, our party dies.
