Of course. A small group of people are doing the organizing. None of
us want it that way. Thanks for stepping up to help with organizing
such a group. :-) It would really help if someone would call the
local chapters listed on our web site and see whether they can help
with this effort.

I don't propose a timid approach.
I would love us to have a speaker there exhorting those assembled to
not go with the Dems but to go with us instead. However, the party
decided to pull out of UJP over a year ago and so we didn't have
representation when this came about and weren't there at the start to
get one of our own in the speakers list.
That is water under the bridge. Right now organizing ourselves so
that we can have the largest contingent most visible contingent we can
get with a well stated, well defined message that does not kowtow to
the Dems is, in my mind, the most important thing we can do.
We could create our own march afterwards, but there is a Palestine
rally in Copley Sq. we may decide to attend and we do have a GP/GRP
social/fundraiser that, several of us believe, would be an important
tool to organize ourselves and just plain have some fun. I would
rather we had 70+ people at our social all meeting one another and
talking about where we go from here than doing another march that
won't get us much attention.
It would be nice to have record of additional people we can go back to
for future efforts and events. We get that from the social.
> Has anyone gone to organizing meetings for the event representing the Greens?
Yes. Eli and a member of the GP of RI have stepped forward to do it.
I have called on members of state com to attend these meetings several
times.
I appreciate and sympathize with your comments and feeling. Please
realize we are volunteers doing what we can do with what we have.
peace,
Jamie
