Dear John, Nigel and Omar,
After reviewing the GRP Database Access and Use Policy, Dan Melnechuk
and I found that we had granted the McKinney data request in error.
Sadly sometimes four eyes are not better than two. Dan will send an
explanation to the relevant committee list servs.
To rectify this error we believe that there are two choices:
1. We could tell the McKinney campaign to delete all of the data that
we gave them.
2. We could grant your request for the Draft Nader campaign.
Since the Draft Nader campaign needs this data promptly and has not
been able to have their request dealt with, though I was only made
aware of the Draft Nader campaign's need this week, the fair solution
appears to be the second choice. Dan and I are agreed that we can
fulfill the Draft Nader campaign's request promptly once we receive
the GRP Agents Agreement that I mentioned would need to be filled out
when I emailed you yesterday. As a reminder, you can find the Agents
Agreement at:
http://www.green-rainbow.org/Committees/Technology
We still require that it be sent to us by postal mail, but we will
accept a scanned copy via email to expedite the data transfer. Please
call or txt me at 617-447-0210 when you send it so that I know to look
at my email and perform the extraction and transfer promptly. Email
may not be able to handle the size of the data, so I put it up on our
web site for a limited time.
I am happy to talk with you about what the different fields mean since
I performed this function for the McKinney' campaign's database
administrator.
Please note that our policy does prevent the transfer of our data to
other parties by the recipient. Should Nader be our nominee, then his
campaign can request our data.
If you feel that you do not have enough time to use the data
productively, then I will notify the McKinney campaign that they must
cease using the data we granted. I trust that they will comply
promptly, but sadly have no direct control over their actions.
However, I will pester until it is done.
I will txt Nigel once this email has been sent to notify him of this
email. While I am not always at it, I can also be reached via AIM at
jamiepokeefe .
Please accept my apologies for our error. Good luck with your calling.
Jamie
