For the record:
Mike,
Like Eli, I do not plan to read your letter. If that seems unkind, let
me state that my many many efforts in the past to respectfully and
fully respond to you both on and off list have been completely
ignored.
Bottom line, Mike, the reason people don't agree with you is, um,
that they don't agree with you -- not that they have not heard you and
tried to address your concerns. Even the new people on this list --
some of whom you have already driven off the list -- can't avoid being
aware. We know you still have concerns, and committees have gone to
votes as a result. That, too, is a legitimate part of the consensus
process and should be respected.
At this point, your continued accusations make me feel you are
engaging in character assassinations. If they continue, you and others
will succeed in destroying the party, not saving it.
