1. Intros

Introductory remarks by Ron mentioning history of GRP successes in  
local elections

Introductory remarks by Melissa on this year's slate-of-candidates  
campaign.

Melissa introduces Martina Robinson, our new candidate for lieutenant  
governor

Ron introduces Owen Broadhurst, our GRP candidate for state rep in  
the Agawam area.

Introduction of the officers of the convention

Short intros by everyone around the room

Jill Stein our candidate for secretary of the commonwealth is present

Luc Schuster, a Cambridge School Committee member, is present


2. Convention rules are presented by Dan Melnechuk

GRP members at the convention are delegates to the convention

Members with red or green badges can vote & nominate

Only members with green badges can run for party co-chairs, secretary  
or treasurer

Persons with yellow badges are observers

There are two kinds of decisionmaking processes used at the  
convention: consensus and voting

There will be voting (elections) for GRP party officers & for GRP  
reps to the GPUS

6. An explanation of the party voting procedure from Dan Melnechuk

Lloyd Smith speaks briefly to the convention on speaker phone

The ballots are passed out. We vote and turn in the ballots to Rob.

7. Workshops. There is a workshop by SHaRC (the Statewide Harm  
Reduction Coalition). There is a workshop on IRV that counts the  
votes for party officers. There is a third workshop that I think was  
on running a campaign for local office (I'm not sure)

8. Proposal on modifying our Palestine Statement by Colby

We discuss the proposal for half an hour and table it.
