Dear Mike - There is no workable date in October was the conclusion we came
to at adcom. Chuck and Luc will have campaigns that by then we would
seriously hope was drawing in every available GRP activists in the Greater Boston area
for their elections at the beginning of November. I will have a similar
situation in the middle of the state and we strongly hope similar commitment will
be made by Pioneer Valley folks to Rick Purcell. I suspected attending a
convention in October, let alone having an attention for turning people out in
October would be very unlikely for me - Luc reported same.
Preliminary in Worcester is Sept. 11 & Boston Sept. 25 - making September
just as problematic.
Given the timeline for a newsletter, August was the earliest date.
We have been offered a major fundraising concert - we have talked about
combining a fundraising concert with our convention - I think that is how we got
here - Thanks, Grace
