Mike,

Voting for someone cannot be equated with actively working in a
candidate's campaign while still participating in Party decisions that
could materially benefit that candidate over others that are on the
Party ballot. The Party does not endorse candidates in the primary and
should not provide support to one candidate over another. That is not
the Party's role.

With or without a formal policy defining ethical behavior, common
sense says that it is inappropriate to participate in decisions where
there could be a perceived or blatant conflict of interest. Yes, I
suggested that training might be appropriate, but let's not postpone
trying to live up to the kind of standards we want to see expressed in
government and elections.
