Merelice,
"Diversity" is not what was rejected on Saturday; an "attempt at a coup"
was rejected. And I'm glad to say that I could play a part in stopping
it. I suspect that several, if not all, of the "newcomers" were unaware
of the acidic, deep conflict and division within GRP over the
presidential delegate/selection process. I find it despicable that
anyone would have put these folks into such an untenable position. Had
there been genuine interest in the "newcomers" getting onto StateCom
thus expanding SC's diversity, the earlier vote would have been
accepted, all StateCom members would have stayed through the meeting to
get business done, and at the end of the meeting, a process whereby the
newcomers were accepted onto StateCom would have occurred.
Now, when are we going to put all of this nonsense to bed and get on
with the critical work so needed to be done?!
Nancy
